Anyone else feel overwhelmed by all the books you want to read and not enough time to read them? That’s how I’ve been feeling yesterday. There are SO MANY books I want to read right now, but have no idea where to start and not enough time to read them all.

Making a TBR list can help, but as a mood reader it can also cause stress if I deviate too much. I try not to put too much press on myself to stick to the TBR to alleviate that.

Given that there are so many books I want to read at the moment, here’s what I’ve thrown on my TBR for the month of August:

Bombshell by Sarah MacLean

Bombshell is probably my most anticipated read of July! I may or may not have pre-ordered at least two copies of this one. I’m a huge fan of Sarah MacLean’s historical romances and cannot wait to read Sesily and Caleb’s story. The book comes out August 24th and I’m definitely planning to read it ASAP.

Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLean

I threw this on the TBR for this month in preparation for Bombshell. Its been ages since I originally read this and don’t remember the specifics of it so I’d really like to get a reread in before Bombshell comes out since it focuses on Sesily’s sister. I’ve reread book one in this series recently so want to refresh myself on all the Talbot sister’s stories before Bombshell.

A Lady by Midnight by Tessa Dare

A Lady by Midnight was on my July TBR, but I wasn’t able to get to book 3 in the Spindle Cove series during the But Do They Bang? readalong of Tessa Dare’s novels. I have read this before so it’s a reread. However, I did start this in late July and I apparently remember very little about Kate and Thorne’s story.

Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas

This book was also on my July TBR. I did start this in July, but haven’t had a chance to finish it yet. However, I am determined to finish this in August. I’ve been enjoying it so far at least!

Exposed by Kristen Callihan

I love the VIP series by Kristen Callihan and I am so excited to get around to Exposed! This book focuses on Rye and Brenna and I’ve been dying for their story for ages. I cannot wait to get to read this and truly hoping to get to it in August.

It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

I’ve been seeing It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey everywhere and it’s been one of my most anticipated reads of the summer! A Schitt’s Creek inspired romance by Tessa Bailey, a great contemporary romance writer? Sign me up! Truly hoping I’ll have the time to get this one.
