I’m still in denial that today is September 1. Let’s just pretend it is August 32nd.
September is going to be crazy for me because of work and I’m currently not really sure WHAT I want to read this month. I’m feeling like September is going to be quite a mood reading month, but do have a few things on my September TBR!
Here’s what’s on my September TBR:
Girl Meets Dukes Series by Tessa Dare
We’re on the final book series for But Do They Bang? the Tessa Dare readalong! I cannot believe I actually did a full read through of all of Dare’s book. I’ve read all three of these books, but not since they published so this will be a fun rediscovery of the stories as I only have a vague recollection of the plot of each.
The Duchess Hunt by Lorraine Heath
First off, I love the cover for this book! It give me some serious old school romance vibes! Second, this book is my most anticipated books of the fall and I have an ARC of it sitting on my Kindle! I absolutely adored Scoundrel of My Heart, the first book in the Once Upon a Dukedom series. I’ve been dying to Kingsland’s story since reading that book in April. Lorraine Heath has slowly become one of my favorite authors – her Sins for All Seasons is another favorite.
The Devil’s Own Duke by Lenora Bell
The Devil’s Own Duke by Lenora Bell is her second book in the Wallflowers vs Rogues series! I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Love is a Rogue, and have been looking forward to Bell’s next entry in the series.
It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
I didn’t end up getting to It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey in August, but I’m really hoping to get to it in September! I’ve been dying to read this all summer long and just haven’t had time. Hopefully I can get to it before summer is officially over.
What books are on your TBR for September?
Thank you for the romance read recommendations! I am so excited getting together my fall TBR pile. As a lover of romantic fiction, I cannot think of a more appropriate book to recommend than “Daughter of the Sky” by Alison Blasdell. I know you’ve got a lot on your plate already BUT I definitely think you should check it out. I have always felt that this niche drama e.g. “highlander” is not explored enough. The parallels between two strong and compassionate female protagonists separated by hundreds of years, this is a fast paced and fun read. I really loved the authors obvious passion when it came to her characterization and as outlandish as the plot is, it never felt that way. She somehow has made a romantic fiction, with paranormal abilities, time periods spanning 500 years, multiple protagonists all feel very grounded. This is escapism at its best and most exciting. This one will grab you and not let go. http://www.alisonblasdell.com (you can read more about the series here!) Happy reading!
