Another month, done and dusted! I’m literally in shock at how quickly this year has been flying by! How are we about to be in December?
November ended up being a good reading month for me, though I threw my November TBR out the window completely. Oh well! I’m happy with the books I ended up reading.
November 2021 Reads
I ended up reading 9 books this month and closed out the month with my 100th book of the year hitting my reading goal for 2020 with a full month to spare!
As I mentioned, I didn’t stick to my November TBR as I only ended up reading three out of the six books on it.
Let’s take a look at what I actually read this month:
An Impossible Impostor by Deanna Raybourn
If you guys didn’t know, I’m a superfan of the Veronica Speedwell series by Deanna Raybourn! I’m still in shock that I ended up getting an ARC of the newest book, An Impossible Impostor (out Feb. 15, 2022). This book is my most anticipated read of 2022 so I had to dig into it as soon as possible! My full review will be coming closer to publication, but I really enjoyed this one, even though I wanted to shake Veronica at some points! The mystery threatens to reveal secrets from Veronica’s past, and boy, what a secret it is. The wait for the Veronica Speedwell book 8 is going to be killer as the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger and I hope Veronica makes the right choice.
Keep an eye out for my review in February 2022 and an eye on my Instagram for a fun giveaway closer to publication!
Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night by Kresley Cole
I’m slowly but surely making my way through the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole and was excited to continue with book three, Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night. I haven’t had a chance to write my review for this one, but I found the plot for this one a bit bonkers. I liked it, but it wasn’t my favorite of the series thus far. It felt like a few different stories were happening at once, though I did enjoy Mari and Bowen.
Keep an eye out on the blog for my review in December.
The Perils of Pleasure by Julie Anne Long
I was feeling very mood readery this month, and decided I want to actually dive into the Pennyroyal Green series. I had read The Perils of Pleasure by Julie Anne Long a while ago but had zero recollection of the plot. I really enjoyed this one and hope I can continue with the series in December!
The Palace of Rogue Series by Julie Anne Long

I wasn’t planning to read the full Palace of Rogues series by Julie Anne Long, but I’m honestly so glad I did! This series has been truly delightful and I feel like it’s seriously underrated! I devoured all the books pretty quickly and am so excited to dive into more of Julie Anne Long‘s writing as I love her romances and her writing style.

Dark Needs at Night’s Edge by Kresley Cole
My library hold for the fourth book in the Immortals After Dark series came in this month so I had to dig in. The romance in this book is between a vampire and a ghost. That’s honestly a pairing I don’t think I’ve ever read before and requires a very healthy suspension of disbelief, yet the romance and story work so well. This was a fun and relatively quick read and I cannot wait to read the next one. I haven’t had a chance to review this yet, but hoping to get that posted in December!
The Lady Gets Lucky by Joanna Shupe
I’ll fully admit, I thought this would be my first read of December. But when I started it on November 28th, I was immediately hooked and devoured more than half the book in one sitting. I was initially hesitant to dive into book two in The Fifth Avenue Rebels series as I was not the biggest fan of The Heiress Hunt. However, this was a return to the Joanna Shupe I know and love!
I’ll have a full review up on this in December, but suffice to say I enjoyed this. And THAT COVER! It’s one of the best romance covers of the modern era.
November 2021 Reviews
I feel like I wasn’t the most productive with reviews this month as I kept needing to readjust my schedule as life was hectic, but I still got a handful of reviews up.
