How do your review a book that was literal perfection? I don’t throw that word around often, but Something Wild & Wonderful was perfect. This was a beautiful tale of two people finding themselves and finding love while on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). I didn’t expect to fall in love with this book so quickly, but the characters and their journey hooked me immediately and swept me away. I was an emotional mess at the end because I was just so happy for Alexei and Ben.

A Lady for A Duke has a beautiful love story at its center, and I would love to read more historical romances with trans characters as protagonists. And as much as I thought I would be giving this 5 stars at the start, the story did drag toward the end, which knocked my rating down a bit.

In Which Margo Halifax Earns Her Shocking Reputation was such a cute and spicy little novella that managed to cram a great romance in a short amount of pages! I’m not usually a big reader of novellas, but I saw everyone raving about this on Instagram, so I had to pick it up!

It pains me so much that I didn’t like this book. I was greatly looking forward to it as I adored Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series and was excited for her to write another musician hero. However, this book fell flat. This book was a bit of a nebulous meh.

After not liking It Happened One Summer, I went into this book with slightly lower expectations. And I’ve got to be honest – my feelings on this are a bit mixed. I liked the beginning and the build-up in Fox and Hannah’s relationship (something sorely lacking in Piper and Brendan’s relationship), but the final act of this novel is where the story lost me and made me a bit iffy on my overall feelings on it.

I’m not a big fan of holiday-themed romances, but I am a big fan of Lauren Layne and An Ex for Christmas is such a cute, quick holiday read. An Ex for Christmas feels like a Hallmark movie in book form with a hint of a rom-com like What’s Your Number mixed in. You go in knowing exactly how it will end, but it’s fun to see how Layne will get our two lead characters together.
