Three Nights With a Scoundrel brings Tessa Dare’s Stud Club series to a close with Lily and Bellamy’s story. While not my favorite in the series, I still really enjoyed this story. It’s hard for me to pinpoint exactly what was missing from this book that kept me from moving it from like to love, but something just didn’t fully click with me to push this over the line.
Twice Tempted by a Rogue is book two in Tessa Dare’s Stud Club series. While I liked this one, I didn’t find the story all that memorable afterward. However, I am liking this series and its characters a lot more than the Wanton Dairymaid series, Dare’s first series.
Note this book does contain descriptions of physical/mental abuse, discussion of suicidal tendencies and forced prostitution so it might not be for everyone.
One Dance With a Duke kicks off Tessa Dare’s second series, The Stud Club. Before the “But Do The Bang?” Tessa Dare readalong, I had never read this series or the Wanton Dairymaidseries. After not really enjoying the Wanton Dairymaid series, I was a bit hesitant about her second series despite being a fan of everything she’s published since Spindle Cove. However, this book felt so much more like the Tessa Dare books I know and love! It felt like a full 180 from her first series.
And that’s a wrap on the Wanton Dairymaid series! I can safely say, I’m glad to be done with this series as it was not my favorite. A Lady of Persuasion was better than the second book in the series, but not something I can see myself going back to read.
I’ve been a Tessa Dare fan for a long time, but have never read her first two series before. When I saw a handful of bookstagrammers were hosting the “But Do They Bang?” readalong (the best name ever for a readalong) of all of Tessa Dare’s books, I knew I had to join in.
