I’m a few days late on this, but hey, better late than never, right? I’ve been spending the last few days down in North Carolina with my family as I was in town for a wedding and to go wedding dress shopping with my sister.
I haven’t had much of a chance to read recently, but luckily I had a fairly good reading month early in March, despite this month being hectic at work. All in all, I ended up reading 8 books this month.

Since we first met the mysterious Marquess of Brandon in Her Night with the Duke, I’ve been dying to get his story and learn more about him! Diana Quincy delivered with The Marquess Makes His Move. It’s a bit of a wild ride, but it was a ride I enjoyed being on.

I finished The Viscount Made Me Do It with a massive grin on my face. With a kickass heroine, an engaging murder mystery and a well-developed, tender romance, Diana Quincy’s second book in the Clandestine Affairs series is a pure delight.

Another month in the books! I hate that summer is flying by!
July was a busy month for me – both on the reading front and personal front. I finally got to take a vacation to a beach this month. I haven’t done that since the summer before the pandemic so I was super excited!
On the reading front, July ended up being a very strong month! In July, I ended up reading 12 books, bringing my total for year up to 66 books. I’m about 8 books ahead of meeting my goal of 100 books this year so I feel like I’m in a good position to hit that this year.

I’ve been meaning to read Her Night With the Duke from Diana Quincy for ages and was so glad when @erinv.for.valkyrie reached out to me on Instagram to do a buddy read of it! I was already hoping to get to this book early this month in preparation for the sequel that was just published and was so happy to have someone to read this with.
Her Night With the Duke is the first book by Diana Quincy that I’ve read. I have to say I liked this! While there were a few things that didn’t fully click with me, I loved the female lead, Leela. Also, can we get more diversity in historical romance? It was great to read a story featuring a half-Arab/half-English female romantic lead.
