June 2021 Recap

I cannot believe June has come and gone. Does this year feel like it is flying by for anyone else, or is it just me?

Since we just passed the midpoint of the year, I thought I’d start with a quick check in on how I’m tracking against my reading goal for the year. This year, my goal is to read 100 books. So far, it looks like I’m track to meet that as I closed out June with my 54th book of the year. According to Goodreads (if we’re not friends, come add me!), that puts me about 5 books ahead.

MY REVIEW

I went into this book without reading the synopsis and had no idea what to expect in terms of the plot. I’m so glad about that as I found this story delightful and unexpected. I had read the first book in the series, Lord Holt Takes a Bride, and while I enjoyed it, it didn’t wow me. With My Kind of Earl, I had a smile on my face the whole time and couldn’t wait to see what happened next.

June TBR List

Happy June! Hard to believe summer is almost here!

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a TBR list before on my blog. I’m more of a mood reader than anything else, but I’ve been trying to pull together a TBR each month to give myself a little structure. I definitely don’t stick to it all the time though.

For June though I have high hopes of reading all of the books on my TBR! First off, half of them are part of the “But Do They Bang?” readalong of Tessa Dare’s books. Am I ever going to get tired of saying the name of that readalong? No. I have a library book, an ARC and a new release on here as well that I’m feeling confident about as well.
